Ann Melby, Member

Anna Melby is a Culinary Institute of America trained baker and pastry chef. She is currently the Sous Chef at Grimmway Academy in Arvin, CA where she feeds their students healthy, fresh foods and educates them about healthy eating choices.

Anna discovered her love of fencing while attending Garces High School. She trained in Bakersfield on weeknights and traveled to LA each weekend to train with saber coach Michael DeSarro Jr. Anna has competed in numerous tournaments in California and Nevada. Anna’s weapon of choice is the saber and she has represented the Southern California region of USFA in saber at the Junior Olympics and at USFA Nationals.

Unfortunately after high school Anna had to put her fencing on hold to establish her career. She is now back in her home town, reestablishing her fencing skills and giving back to the sport that gave her so much."
