Coach Lucas Dobrzanski

Lucas Dobrzanski, a Chemical Engineer with executive experience, started fencing in 1964 at Los Angeles Athletic Club under the French trained Maestro Delmar Calvert.

He participated in collegiate fencing events and was the founding president of the UC Davis fencing club.

He participates in the North American Cup and National Championships of the US Fencing Association as well as at numerous tournaments in California.

He is a nationally ranked fencer in the veterans division. His highest ranking was 4th in the nation in 2013. He was member of the US Veterans Team in the World Championships in 2013 and 2014. He brings management and fencing experience to the Foundation.

 

Coach Rudolph Streitz

Rudolph Streitz, started fencing in 1984 and was trained by such noted coaches as Hungarian Olympian Madame Maria Luecksi, Maestro Al Couturier, Maestro Misha Itkin. He was the founding president of the University of Southern California fencing club, teaching many beginning through advanced fencing classes on campus and also served as the Head Coach for USC’s collegiate Men and Women fencing teams for over 10 years. With over three decades of fencing experience and many medals and trophies along the way, he has motivated many interested enthusiasts in the art of fencing through his dedication of coaching and class instruction.

 

Assistant Coach Buel Boaz

Buel retired after 36 years with Kern Community College District as a Systems Analyst.

He has been fencing for about 8 years.

Buel's wife and He have been showing dogs for about 20 years. They show Bloodhounds and Otterhounds
