Lucas Dobrzanski

from Kern Athletic Fencing Foundation, won a gold medal for first place in an open Saber competition at College of the Desert in Palm Desert. It took a "come from behind" effort. Lucas was trailing 8 to 3 and ended up betting his opponent 15-14. This first place finish, gave Lucas a higher rating that will allow him a higher seeding when he competes in Reno at the North American Cup at the end of the month, in his attempt to qualify for the 3rd time for the US World Championship team!
